Job Advertisement: Nurse for Dialysis Unit

Within nephrology, there are clinics for hemodialysis, kidney failure, peritoneal dialysis, kidney outpatient clinic, and inpatient care for kidney patients. As an employee in the dialysis unit, you are an important part of our nephrology unit, which is at the forefront in Sweden. We believe that collaboration between our units is a key factor in developing our nephrology services and enhancing our employees' competencies. Through close cooperation between our clinics and the inpatient department, we create conditions for a dynamic and flexible operation, where there is also the opportunity to work shifts in the inpatient department based on interest, experience, and the needs of the operation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in the dialysis unit, you will work with kidney patients who come for dialysis treatment 3-4 times a week, often for many years. The job involves close contact with patients and significant work with medical technology equipment. We believe in empowering patients by involving them in their care and therefore focus on self-care. We work in groups with responsible nurses for safe patient care of high quality. The work in the dialysis unit uniquely combines technology and nursing with independent work in patients' treatment and care.

In addition to patient work, where each nurse has specific nursing responsibilities for a number of their own patients, each employee also has specific tasks aimed at improving the quality of care and medical management. We expect you to actively participate in service development, take personal responsibility, and work with us towards our goals.

As a nurse with us, you will work with:

  • initiating dialysis
  • monitoring during dialysis
  • disconnecting dialysis.

  • personal introduction for at least eight weeks
  • work in a safe team where there is always someone to consult
  • individual development plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, flexible, and structured. You see the big picture and take into account the broader perspective, and you have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

In the role of nurse, you should:

  • be a licensed nurse.

For this position, experience in dialysis work is an advantage.
